About Mike
Mike Carrigan has an extensive backround in marketing and sales for the hospitality industry. His career is marked by 28 years of success and includes extraordinary achievements with several turnaround and startup resort/hotel conference facilities. His most recent accomplishment in the hospitality industry was turning around the bankrupt property Seabrook Island Conference Resort. He assisted in the reinvention of the now award winning facility.
Carrigan graduated with a Bachelors degree in Urban Planning and Development in 1977 from the State University of New York, Plattsburgh. He then obtained a Masters Degree in Club Management from the State University of New York at Cortland in 1980. To further expand his knowledge base he attended Cornell University in the summer of 1980 and completed the Hotel Management Training Program.
He began his burgeoning career as a National Accounts Manager for Scottsdale Conference Resort in Scottsdale Arizona. During his twelve year tenure with the company he held several positions including Director of Sales, and finally National Sales Director. He spearheaded sales and marketing initiatives and was responsible for closing contracts that generated over $25 million in annual sales.
In more recent years he held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing for Seabrook Island Conference Resort. During his time with Seabrook the property was awarded several prestigious designations including the Gold Key Award, and the Pinnacle award. Mike started his his own corporate meeting palnning ( Client Source Inc. 1/1/2002) after the owners-club members of Seabrook Island decided to go in a new direction and turn the resort and it's facilities to a private club status! Mike's new company is still in operation with three other associates based here in Charleston and Scottsdale, Az. Mike started his real estate venture in early 2005 and worked as a Sales Manager for Palmetto Realty Group based on Daniel Island! In March of 2007 Prudential Carolina Real Estate's new Land Development Division asked Mike to join their new group! Our mission in the Land Development Division is to provide the infrastructure & platform for creating relationships between builders-developers,land owners, and realtors, where collectively we combine our efforts and resources to provide sound business solutions!
